The University of Pennsylvania baseball team is preparing for the NCAA Championship, with their first game scheduled against Virginia in Charlottesville. Alumni, family, and members of the Penn community gathered virtually to send off the team on Tuesday evening. Head Coach John Yurkow expressed gratitude for the support, saying, "Once again, I am absolutely blown away by the unwavering support of our alumni, family, and friends of the Penn baseball program."

The virtual event featured recaps of the team's recent successes and experiences shared by senior captains Wyatt Henseler and Carson Ozmer. Henseler reflected on last year's postseason run: "Anyone that was a part of last year's postseason run would say it's one of the most memorable experiences they've had."

Doug Glanville, a former player and Penn Athletics Hall of Famer, along with other alumni and former coaches, offered words of encouragement to the team.

Tickets for the regional games are available online. The Quakers' opening game will be streamed live on ESPN+ at noon on Friday.
