Leading the University of Pennsylvania baseball team to a second consecutive Ivy League Tournament title, senior third baseman Wyatt Henseler has been named Penn Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week. This recognition is presented by Acme.

Henseler joins four other athletes who have received this honor twice in 2024. The others include Malachi Hosley from football, Tyler Perkins from men's basketball, Matthew Fallon from men's swimming & diving, and Isabella Whittaker from women's track & field.

The 2024 Ivy League Player of the Year was also named the Ivy League Tournament's Most Outstanding Player. He achieved a batting average of .375 with three home runs and ten RBIs over five games during the weekend tournament.

Henseler set two records during this period: the program's all-time doubles record with 50 and the Ivy League's single-season home run record with 22, surpassing Princeton's Kyle Vinci from 2023.

Thanks to Henseler's contributions, the Quakers are making their seventh NCAA appearance and attending back-to-back regionals for the first time since 1988-89.

Penn Athletics continues to recognize outstanding student-athletes weekly through its partnership with Acme. Past recipients include athletes from various sports such as cross country, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, golf, tennis, wrestling, basketball, track & field, fencing, gymnastics, squash, rowing, and lacrosse.
