The Philadelphia Union has announced the return of its Summer Select program to Eastern Pennsylvania for a second year. This initiative offers young athletes the chance to demonstrate their skills and represent the team in two EDP summer tournaments. The 2025 edition will combine the successful SJSL program with the PA program, which was introduced in 2024.

Participants will have the opportunity to practice and play at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex, near Subaru Park, during the summer of 2025. "Play where the pros play and create incredible memories," invites the Philadelphia Union.

The program is open to all travel players who must attend an ID session for evaluation and team placement. Each age group will have at least one team accepted into the program. Teams are set to practice twice weekly over six weeks and compete in two EDP tournaments.

Registration for the ID session costs $10, with a deadline of January 4th, 2025. After attending an ID session, players will receive communication about tryout results. Selected players can register through Daysmart under "Philadelphia Union Summer Select 2025" with a fee of $650. Participants are encouraged to attend as many of the twelve scheduled training sessions as possible.
