Philadelphia Union has confirmed the signing of a new contract with midfielder Jeremy Rafanello. The agreement ensures that the 24-year-old player will remain with the club until 2026, with potential extensions for 2027 and 2028.

Ernst Tanner, Philadelphia Union Sporting Director, commented on Rafanello's performance: "In his two seasons with the Union, Jeremy has remained dedicated to his growth and development as a player. He has stepped up in pivotal matches and remains ready when called upon. His increased minutes on field this season are a testament to his work ethic, and we are happy to be able to reward him with a new contract."

Rafanello, who graduated from the Philadelphia Union Academy and YSC Academy in 2018, has played in ten matches this year, starting four of them. He achieved his first MLS assist against FC Cincinnati on June 19, 2024. His debut in MLS NEXT Pro was on September 4, 2022, followed by his MLS debut exactly one year later against New York Red Bulls.

On the international stage, Rafanello debuted for the U.S. Under-19 Men's Youth National Team on May 7, 2018, contributing to an 8-0 victory over Kazakhstan.

Philadelphia Union finalized Rafanello's contract extension on October 16, 2024.
