The first scenario requires Philadelphia to win against Cincinnati, with Montréal losing to New York City and D.C. losing to Charlotte. Alternatively, if Montréal loses to New York City and Atlanta either loses or draws at Orlando, Philadelphia's victory would also secure their playoff berth.
Another possibility involves Philadelphia winning while Montréal loses to New York City, provided Philadelphia holds a tiebreaker advantage over Atlanta. Additionally, if D.C. loses to Charlotte and Atlanta either loses or draws at Orlando following a Philadelphia win, the Union will qualify.
Finally, a win for Philadelphia combined with a loss for D.C. against Charlotte and holding the tiebreaker advantage over Atlanta would also ensure their place in the playoffs.
