Philadelphia Union concluded their final regular season road match with a 3-2 loss to Columbus Crew. The match saw both teams displaying strong performances, but ultimately, the defending MLS Cup Champion Crew secured the victory.

The game started swiftly for Columbus, as MVP candidate Cucho Hernandez scored in the third minute. Philadelphia responded in the 25th minute when Nathan Harriel equalized after Jack Elliott's free kick was saved. Columbus regained the lead just before halftime through Mo Farsi's effort.

Cucho Hernandez further extended Columbus' lead midway through the second half with another goal from a set piece. Philadelphia narrowed the gap with a goal from Jack McGlynn, assisted by Kai Wagner.

Head Coach Jim Curtin made three changes to his starting lineup for this encounter against the 2023 MLS Cup Champions and 2024 Leagues Cup Champions. Nate Harriel returned to the backline alongside Kai Wagner, Jakob Glesnes, and Jack Elliott. Danley Jean Jacques continued in midfield with Quinn Sullivan and Leon Flach, while Daniel Gazdag started at the number ten position.

Philadelphia Union will conclude their 2024 MLS Regular Season at home against FC Cincinnati. This crucial match will determine playoff positions and is scheduled for U Thank U Night at Subaru Park.
