The Eagles resumed training camp on Sunday with their first practice since defeating the Ravens in their preseason opener. The session featured notable performances from several players, including Isaiah Rodgers and Darius Slay as first-team cornerbacks, and Quinyon Mitchell at nickel cornerback. Britain Covey made the initial catch of the day for the first-team offense, while Kenny Pickett connected with Jacob Harris for a deep pass during second-team reps.

Patrick Johnson, who stood out in the Baltimore game, continued his strong showing by pressuring Pickett for a would-be sack. In 1-on-1 drills, DeVonta Smith demonstrated clean route running, Dallas Goedert caught a well-thrown ball from Jalen Hurts in stride for a touchdown, and John Ross showcased his speed with a downfield score. A.J. Brown executed a comeback route effectively, and Mitchell made significant defensive stops.

Defensively, the team showed discipline despite an offsides call. Nolan Smith applied consistent pressure in the backfield, and Jalen Carter disrupted plays effectively. Practice concluded with special 1-on-1 drills where Johnny Wilson's over-the-shoulder catch highlighted the session.

Cam Jurgens led discussions about the team's offensive line size and performance. "We need to figure out is this the heaviest O-line in the league?" he remarked. With familiar faces like Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson, and Jordan Mailata anchoring key positions, expectations remain high despite ongoing battles for spots such as right guard between Mekhi Becton and Tyler Steen.

Depth remains a focus with players like Fred Johnson and Matt Hennessy providing versatility across positions. Jeff Stoutland continues to develop talent including rookies Trevor Keegan and Dylan McMahon.

Super Bowl hero Corey Clement visited practice sharing advice and reflecting on Nick Foles' retirement: "I was sad to see him go but hell of a career." Clement emphasized maintaining a positive mentality to succeed as an undrafted free agent.

Avonte Maddox has been instrumental in mentoring rookie Quinyon Mitchell both on and off the field. "He's got questions every single day," Maddox said of Mitchell's eagerness to learn.

Milton Williams steps into a leadership role following Fletcher Cox's retirement. "I lead by example," Williams stated while noting Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio’s appreciation of his versatility along the defensive line.

Injury updates included absences from LB Oren Burks (knee), TE Grant Calcaterra (shoulder), WR Parris Campbell (groin), S C.J. Gardner-Johnson (shoulder), and TE Albert Okwuegbunam (abdomen). Limited participants were CB Mekhi Garner (hamstring), LB Patrick Johnson (lower leg contusion), and LB Brandon Smith (concussion).
