BALTIMORE – The Philadelphia Eagles secured a 16-13 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Friday night, thanks to Jake Elliott's 49-yard field goal as time expired. The win marked a positive start to the preseason for the Eagles.

In the final minute of play, quarterback Tanner McKee led the Eagles from their 33-yard line to Baltimore's 32 in 13 plays, setting up Elliott for a potential game-winning field goal. Elliott's initial attempt hit the right upright, leaving the score tied at 13-13. However, linebacker Patrick Johnson strip-sacked Ravens quarterback Emory Jones on the next play and recovered the loose ball, giving Elliott another chance. This time, Elliott converted, securing the victory.

"It felt great! Whooooo yeahhhh," Johnson exclaimed after his crucial play.

The Eagles' running game was a standout aspect of their performance, amassing 146 yards on 38 carries. Rookie Will Shipley contributed with 23 yards on seven carries and a touchdown reception. Kendall Milton added 39 yards on nine carries, while Tyrion Davis-Price gained 34 yards on six carries. Kenneth Gainwell also impressed with four carries for 23 yards.

Rookie wide receiver Johnny Wilson showed promise with one reception for seven yards and effective blocking on two Britain Covey bubble screens. Covey himself had four catches for 25 yards and a notable 26-yard punt return.

Quarterback Kenny Pickett played into the third quarter, completing 14 of 22 passes and connecting with Shipley for a touchdown. Pickett is expected to be a reliable backup to Jalen Hurts.

Philadelphia experimented with various offensive line combinations throughout the game. The team executed several lengthy drives, including a nine-minute drive resulting in Shipley's touchdown and another drive consuming over seven minutes.

Head coach Nick Sirianni emphasized reducing penalties after the Eagles committed eight infractions for 55 yards during the game.

Defensively, rookie linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. led the team with five tackles and recorded a sack in his debut. Edge player Nolan Smith also made an impact with a sack and physical play.

First-round draft pick Quinyon Mitchell displayed strong defensive skills but missed an interception opportunity early in the game. He played both nickel and outside positions effectively.

Patrick Johnson contributed four tackles alongside his crucial sack and fumble recovery. Third-round draft pick Jalyx Hunt demonstrated aggressiveness and solid tackling with three total stops.

Tight end Grant Calcaterra continued his impressive offseason form with two receptions for 14 yards, making a case for significant playing time as the No.2 tight end.

The Eagles dominated possession with thirty-seven minutes of offensive control, showcasing their balanced approach between running and passing plays.

Baltimore struggled offensively, converting only two out of twelve third-down attempts due to strong defensive coordination by Vic Fangio's unit.
