This is 10 more than the week before. Patents included a methods and systems for automatically connecting to a network.

The earliest patent filed which was granted in the week ending November 27 belonged to The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania who filed in January 22, 2016.

The number of approved patents in the U.S. grew steadily from roughly 225,000 in 2009 to more than 285,000 in 2019. The number of patents approved suffered a slight downturn in 2020.

Gene Quinn with IPWatchdog said the system underneath patents have become unwieldy, specifically for medical innovations.
