96 percent of applicants to Chestnut Hill College were admitted for fall 2018

At Chestnut Hill College, 64 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Philadelphia enrolled 1,794 students in fall 2018, including 1,322 in undergraduate and 472 in graduate programs, data shows. 11.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

61 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 36 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (37 percent) and Black or African American (31 percent).

The school admitted 96 percent of the 1,008 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 17 percent enrolled.
