Philadelphia Union is set to face Orlando City once again this Saturday at Subaru Park. The Union, led by Head Coach Bradley Carnell, started their season with a 4-2 win against Orlando on February 22nd and currently hold second place in the Eastern Conference with 13 points from four wins and two losses.
In their last match, the Union faced a challenging game against Miami, which saw 32 fouls and eight yellow cards. Miami won with a goal by Lionel Messi in the 57th minute, despite a late goal from Daniel Gazdag.
Orlando City, coached by Oscar Pareja, is ranked seventh in the East. They have secured three wins, one draw, and two losses, with recent performances boosting their momentum. They drew 2-2 with New York Red Bulls, defeated D.C. United 4-1, and won against LA Galaxy 2-1. Argentinian midfielder Martin Ojeda has been a key player for Orlando City, scoring in each of their last three games, reaching a total of four goals and three assists for the season.
Orlando City's Marco Pašalić and Luis Muriel each have three goals, making their team the top-scoring in MLS with 15 goals, ahead of Philadelphia's 13 goals. Carnell acknowledged Orlando's offensive strengths, stating, "They are very creative and very dangerous in the final third. You know, I think they have some of the highest output and volume in terms of their attacking thresholds."
Carnell noted the difficulty in stopping Orlando's players, including Pašalić and Iván Angullo, saying, "These guys, they're really tough to stop if you give them time and space. So that's going to be the order of the day."
Saturday's game also marks Fireworks Night, sponsored by Coors Light, inviting fans to attend the rematch. The event promises to deliver another exciting encounter between two high-scoring teams.
