PhillyVoice recently conducted interviews with key figures from Temple Health regarding their Trauma-Informed Oncology Evaluation Clinic, MVP-CAN. Speaking to PhillyVoice were Claire Raab, MD, President and CEO of Temple Faculty Physicians; Rachel Rubin, MD, Chief of the Section of Hospital Medicine at Temple University Hospital; and Dharmini Shah Pandya, MD, Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.

The MVP-CAN clinic, which adopts a high-touch, trauma-informed approach, aims to improve the timely identification, diagnosis, and management of cancer cases through its wrap-around clinic format that highlights social determinants of health. Patients who require follow-up care are referred to Fox Chase Cancer Center at Temple University Hospital.

Patient navigator Sabrina Bryant and patient Curtis Clinton were also featured in the interview.
