The Philadelphia Flyers faced a 3-1 defeat against the New Jersey Devils at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday afternoon. The Flyers, despite a late push, were unable to overcome their opponent, marking their fourth consecutive loss. Meanwhile, the Devils managed to break a three-game losing streak.

The Flyers began the first period with more energy compared to their previous game against Seattle. They led in shots on goal early in the period. However, New Jersey took the lead at 11:10 when Cody Glass scored his fifth goal of the season. "Matvei Michkov got caught behind the play up ice and didn't get back in time to provide support," noted an observer of the game dynamics.
