The University of Pennsylvania baseball team's home opener against Delaware was halted due to darkness. The game, which took place at Tommy Lasorda Field at Meiklejohn Stadium, was suspended in the top of the ninth inning. The teams will resume play on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Delaware's Bob Hannah Stadium.
Delaware held a 10-6 lead after eight innings and will bat first when the game resumes. Following the conclusion of this game, Game 2 is scheduled to start around 2 p.m.
