Philadelphia Union is preparing for a significant match against New England Revolution this Saturday, March 8th, at Gillette Stadium. The Union has started the season strongly with two consecutive victories, while their opponents have struggled, failing to secure a win in their first two matches.

The Revolution began their campaign with a goalless draw against Nashville and suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Columbus Crew. In contrast, Philadelphia Union has triumphed over Orlando City and FC Cincinnati. A key player for the Union has been Israeli striker Tai Baribo, who has scored five of the team's eight goals so far this season. Kai Wagner and Quinn Sullivan have also contributed significantly with three assists each.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Bradley Carnell, Philadelphia will aim to maintain their high-energy performance against a New England team that is still adjusting to new players under Head Coach Caleb Porter. "It's a squad that has 18 new players," Carnell noted. He acknowledged the strength of New England's attack, highlighting players like Leo Campana and Carles Gil as well as Luca Langoni's speed on the right flank.

Carnell emphasized the importance of being cautious about New England's capabilities: "In terms of transition and mitigating spaces... we have to be wary of all of their weapons." Despite not scoring yet this season, Porter's team has only conceded one goal and presents a defensive challenge for Philadelphia.

Should Philadelphia Union secure another victory on Saturday night, it would mark their best start in team history. The match kicks off at 7:30 pm and can be viewed on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV.
