Temple Family Medicine-Old Bustleton physician Dr. Betsy Benjamin has been honored with the Pennsylvania Medical Society's (PAMED) Everyday Hero Award. This accolade is given to individuals whose dedication, compassion, and resilience are essential in providing exceptional care and promoting community well-being.

PAMED acknowledged Dr. Benjamin's significant contributions, stating, "We celebrate Dr. Benjamin’s impact and express our gratitude for [our winners’] unwavering service." They highlighted the attributes of compassion, resilience, and dedication as key elements of outstanding healthcare provision. The society also praised physicians who comfort patients during vulnerable moments, mentor future medical professionals, and advocate for their profession's needs.

Dr. Benjamin was nominated by her colleague Dr. Bereket Tewoldemedhin, who described her as "dedicated." He remarked on her commitment to patient care by saying, "She goes above and beyond to provide excellent care to each patient," noting her articulate nature and composure under stress.

In their award letter to Dr. Benjamin, PAMED emphasized her qualities: “Your selfless commitment to care and unwavering service inspires us all, and we celebrate you for the profound difference you make in the lives of so many.” The organization concluded with a congratulatory note.
