On the eve of the NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders, the Philadelphia Eagles announced several roster changes. Fullback Khari Blasingame and linebacker Nicholas Morrow have been elevated for Sunday's game. Additionally, defensive end KJ Henry was signed to the practice squad, while offensive lineman Cameron Erving was released from it.
Blasingame has been elevated for both previous playoff games this season, primarily contributing on special teams with 25 snaps. This marks his fourth postseason, having played in seven career playoff games, including an AFC Championship Game as a rookie. Previously with Tennessee and Chicago Bears, Blasingame joined the Eagles' practice squad after Ben VanSumeren's season-ending injury.
Morrow was brought in following Nakobe Dean's injury and played 18 special teams snaps during last Sunday's Divisional Round victory over the Rams. The seven-year veteran had previously excelled on special teams with the Bills this season. He is familiar with Philadelphia's defense from starting 12 games last year, posting 93 tackles and three sacks.
Henry rejoined the Eagles' practice squad after being released earlier in the week. Initially drafted by Washington, he spent time with Dallas earlier this season where he recorded a sack in one game.
Erving, a former first-round pick by Cleveland in 2015 and member of Kansas City's 2019 Super Bowl team, was released after joining Philadelphia's practice squad recently.
The Eagles will announce their gameday inactives at 1:30 PM on Sunday.
