In response to the wildfires affecting southern California, the Philadelphia Eagles have pledged $500,000 to assist with relief efforts. This donation will be directed to the California Community Foundation to provide essential resources for those impacted by the disaster. The foundation supports various recovery services such as housing, mental health, and medical care for displaced residents.

Jeffrey Lurie, Chairman and CEO of the Philadelphia Eagles, stated, "Our hearts are with everyone who has been suffering from the destruction caused by the wildfires in the Greater Los Angeles area. We are grateful for the heroic efforts of the first responders who have bravely stepped up to protect those affected."

The Eagles' support extends beyond financial contributions. They have initiated several additional relief efforts:

- The Eagles Autism Foundation will donate all proceeds from Sunday's 50/50 raffle to the American Red Cross for wildfire relief.

- Donations will be made to Best Friends Animal Society to aid animals in Los Angeles.

- The team will cover costs related to transporting homeless animals affected by fires to Philadelphia for adoption.

- Game-worn jerseys and other items from Sunday's playoff game will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the American Red Cross.

- Britannia Pub in Santa Monica will host a watch party collecting donations for local residents and firehouses.

Lurie added, "We recognize the lasting effects a natural disaster can have on a community, and we are compelled to join the recovery efforts."

Fans are encouraged to participate in these initiatives through various platforms including Pledge.to/EaglesSupportLAWildfire and NFLAuction.nfl.com.
