The Philadelphia Flyers faced a narrow defeat against the Toronto Maple Leafs, with a final score of 3-2 at Wells Fargo Center. Despite dominating much of the game, the Flyers were unable to secure a win. Travis Konecny was notable for scoring twice.

In the first period, the Flyers led 1-0 and had a significant shot advantage over Toronto. They also executed two strong penalty kills. Matvei Michkov's early attempt was stopped by Woll after review confirmed no goal.

Toronto's Matthew Knies had an opportunity early on, followed by Joel Farabee engaging in a fight with Connor Dewar. Ryan Poehling nearly scored but hit the post instead.

The Flyers took their lead when Cam York set up Sean Couturier to assist Konecny’s goal. Toronto responded with their own power play opportunity, but Noah Cates almost scored shorthanded.

Flyers' goalie Ivan Fedotov made his first save late in the period against Max Domi's chance. Max Pacioretty prevented another potential goal from Michkov before Owen Tippett received a penalty.

Toronto equalized in the second period during a power play with John Tavares scoring, assisted by Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner. The Flyers briefly regained their lead through Konecny again before Matthews tied it once more.

A power play for Philadelphia failed to convert as Morgan Frost drew one but couldn't capitalize on subsequent opportunities.

In the third period, both Scott Laughton and Michkov sustained minor injuries but continued playing. Toronto took the lead with Knies scoring off Rielly’s assist following Matthews’ faceoff win.

The Flyers pulled Fedotov for an extra attacker in hopes of tying the game again but missed key chances. With time running out, penalties against Toronto gave Philadelphia hope; however, they could not find an equalizer before time expired.

Fedotov ended with 14 saves while Joseph Woll made 30 saves for Toronto.

Philadelphia’s lineup included notable players like Tyson Foerster and Bobby Brink among others while Rasmus Ristolainen played significant minutes defensively despite some turnovers and missed offensive opportunities.
