In a recent MLB Pipeline Executive Poll, front office executives evaluated prospects based on individual skills, focusing on both hitters and pitchers. The survey examined the hit tool, usable power, speed for hitters, and fastball, secondary pitch, and overall pitchability for pitchers.

Jacob Wilson emerged as a standout for his hitting abilities. Despite injuries slowing him down, he maintained impressive strikeout rates at different levels of play. Walker Jenkins shared the spotlight with Wilson due to his low strikeout rate in 2024. Kevin McGonigle also made an impact by hitting .309 in High-A during his first full season.

The poll highlighted Bryce Eldridge and Coby Mayo for their power-hitting potential. Eldridge progressed to Triple-A quickly after being drafted from high school and hit 23 home runs with a .516 slugging percentage. Mayo's performance included 54 home runs over two minor league seasons with a notable slugging percentage of .592 in 2024.

Enrique Bradfield Jr., Justin Crawford, and Simpson were recognized for their speed on the field. Simpson notably stole 104 bases in 2024, becoming the first player to achieve this since 2012.

Andrew Painter was acknowledged for having the best fastball despite missing two years due to Tommy John surgery. His performance in the Arizona Fall League demonstrated his ability to reach triple digits on the radar gun with effective command.

Jackson Jobe received praise for his slider, which achieved a 31% miss rate across all levels in 2024. Carson Whisenhunt's changeup also stood out with a remarkable 47% miss rate that year.

Rhett Lowder led the category of pitchability for the second consecutive year, increasing his vote percentage significantly from last year. His advancement to Major League Baseball showcased his skillful pitching strategy at professional levels.

These insights provide valuable information about emerging talents who could influence future Major League Baseball seasons.
