Philadelphia Union, along with U.S. Soccer, has announced that midfielder Jack McGlynn will join the United States Men's National Team (USMNT) for their January training camp under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino. The camp is scheduled to be held in Ft. Lauderdale.

This marks McGlynn's second call-up to the senior national team, following his debut last January against Slovenia in a friendly match on January 20, 2024. He also played for the U.S. Men's Olympic Soccer Team during the 2024 Summer Olympics, participating in all four matches and helping the team reach the quarterfinals. Notably, he provided an assist in the Group A finale against Guinea, becoming the first Philadelphia Union player to achieve this at an Olympic event.

During the 2024 MLS season, McGlynn participated in 30 matches, starting in 25 of them and accumulating 2,313 minutes of playtime. He scored four goals and contributed seven assists throughout the season. This performance set career highs for him in various categories including games played, starts, minutes on field, goals scored, assists made, shots taken and shots on target. On October 9th, he was ranked No. 3 on the MLS "22 Under 22" list for a third consecutive year.

McGlynn is one of 24 players called up for this training camp which begins on January 7 in Ft. Lauderdale. The USMNT will start its schedule against Venezuela on January 18 at Chase Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale with kickoff at 3 p.m. ET; this match will be broadcast live on TNT, Telemundo, Universo, Max and Peacock with Spanish audio available via Fútbol de Primera radio. Following this match-up against Venezuela they will travel to Orlando to face Costa Rica at Inter&Co Stadium on January 22; kickoff time is set for 7 p.m., also broadcast live across multiple networks including TNT and truTV among others.
