The Philadelphia Eagles have announced two significant roster moves. Defensive end Bryce Huff has been given a 21-day practice window, signaling his potential return to the field after recovering from a wrist procedure. Huff, who joined the Eagles through free agency, missed four games due to his injury. In the ten games he played, five of which he started, Huff recorded 10 tackles, 2.5 sacks, four quarterback hits, three tackles for loss, and a forced fumble.
Huff had initially continued playing despite his wrist injury before being placed on Injured Reserve. His return could bolster an already strong defensive line that includes players like Josh Sweat and Nolan Smith. The Eagles' defense is currently tied for ninth in the league with 39 sacks and has contributed significantly to their franchise-record 10-game winning streak.
Additionally, the Eagles have signed tight end Kevin Foelsch to their practice squad. Foelsch began his NFL journey as an undrafted free agent with the Carolina Panthers before moving to the New York Jets shortly after. A product of the University of New Haven, Foelsch accumulated 73 receptions for 660 yards and 16 touchdowns over five seasons in college.
Foelsch was recognized as a first-team All-Northeast-10 Conference player this past season with a career-high seven touchdowns. This marks Foelsch's third time joining the Eagles' practice squad after being claimed off waivers during Training Camp but released during final roster cuts.
