John Tortorella's Philadelphia Flyers will face John Hynes' Minnesota Wild on Saturday afternoon in St. Paul. The game, which is the second and final meeting of the 2024-25 season between these teams, will be held at Excel Energy Center at 2:00 p.m. EST. It will be televised on NBCSP, with a radio broadcast available on 97.5 The Fanatic and an online simulcast on Flyers Radio 24/7.

In their previous encounter this season, the Flyers secured a 7-5 victory over the Wild at Wells Fargo Center, largely due to captain Sean Couturier's five-point performance.

Scott Laughton enters Saturday's game following a four-goal night against the Detroit Red Wings. This achievement marked his 100th career NHL regular-season goal and his second career hat trick.

Couturier has contributed significantly to the Flyers' offense this season, particularly in their last matchup against Minnesota. "Couturier needs a little more consistency from an offensive standpoint," said Tortorella on Friday.

Noah Cates has shown improvement recently despite a challenging start to the season in terms of goals and points. Tortorella praised Cates for his checking work alongside teammates Tyson Foerster and Bobby Brink.

Flyers rookie Matvei Michkov leads all NHL rookies with 11 goals and 27 points in 27 games this season, although he was kept off the scoresheet in Thursday's game against Detroit.

In goal, Swedish goaltenders Samuel Ersson and Filip Gustavsson are expected to face off again after sharing duties for Team Sweden at the World Championships earlier this year. Gustavsson is set to return to net for Minnesota after being replaced during Thursday's loss to Edmonton.
