Philadelphia Union trades draft picks for potential $600K boost

Philadelphia Union announced a significant trade agreement with Colorado Rapids, allowing the club to potentially acquire up to $600,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM). This deal involves exchanging the Union's SuperDraft selections for the next three years.

The Union is set to receive $350,000 guaranteed in GAM and could earn an additional $250,000 based on performance metrics. The allocation of GAM will be distributed as follows: $125,000 in 2025, another $125,000 in 2026, and $100,000 in 2027. In return, Philadelphia has traded eight SuperDraft picks. Colorado will obtain first and third-round picks from the MLS SuperDraft in 2025 and first, second, and third-round picks from the MLS SuperDrafts of 2026 and 2027.
