The Philadelphia Eagles have decided to waive wide receiver Parris Campbell, as announced on Monday. Campbell had been an active participant in the Eagles' recent 24-19 victory against the Ravens, where he played 28 offensive snaps. Head Coach Nick Sirianni acknowledged Campbell's contribution during the game, highlighting his crucial block that facilitated Saquon Barkley's 25-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Campbell joined the Eagles on a one-year contract during free agency. Initially not making it through Training Camp to secure a spot on the team, he remained with the practice squad following encouragement from Sirianni, who had previously coached him while they were both with Indianapolis.
Throughout this season, Campbell was elevated from the practice squad for Weeks 2 through 4 and later signed onto the active roster on October 12. However, he was released from this position on October 22 but returned to the practice squad shortly thereafter. The Eagles re-signed him to their active roster just before their game against the Ravens.
In his sixth year as a professional player, Campbell has managed six receptions totaling 30 yards and scored one touchdown over five games for Philadelphia.
