The Philadelphia Eagles have made adjustments to their roster, signing linebacker Ochaun Mathis to the practice squad. This move necessitated the release of linebacker David Anenih from the same squad.
Ochaun Mathis, a former sixth-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Rams in 2023, is joining the Eagles after a stint with New England. At 25 years old and standing at 6-foot-5, weighing 250 pounds, Mathis brings notable experience from his college career and professional engagements.
Mathis completed his college football tenure at Nebraska, where he achieved 48 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 2022. Prior to that, he spent four seasons with TCU amassing 135 tackles and 15.5 sacks. His rookie year with the Rams saw him participate in eight games, contributing two tackles on defense.
After being released by the Rams in August, Mathis joined New England's practice squad. He was elevated three times before securing a spot on their active roster in October. During this season with New England, he played five games and recorded one tackle on defense and another on special teams.
