The Flyers faced a strong Carolina team on Wednesday night, known for their effective neutral zone forecheck. This strategy posed challenges for the Flyers in moving the puck out of their zone and initiating offensive plays. The game featured several noteworthy moments, even if some plays were not completed.

Matvei Michkov was involved in a 2-on-1 situation late in the second period. Although Carolina managed to break up the play, Michkov executed an impressive pass to Joel Farabee. Tyson Jost's backcheck prevented it from becoming a scoring opportunity.

Travis Sanheim continued his recent form with notable contributions. He attempted a stretch pass that resulted in icing after hopping over his stick. Interestingly, Rasmus Ristolainen initiated this D-to-D stretch pass up the wing, showcasing Sanheim's current approach.

Later, Sanheim received a cross-ice pass from Ryan Poehling and advanced the puck up the left wing before attempting a wraparound behind the net. This type of play is unusual for defensemen but highlights Sanheim's versatility at present.
