Dallas Goedert, the Eagles' tight end, returned to practice on Wednesday after missing three games due to a hamstring injury. Goedert expressed his excitement about being back on the field at the NovaCare Complex, stating, "It was a lot of fun getting out there, just being in the huddle. It feels real good." He has recorded 24 catches for 301 yards this season.
Although it is uncertain if Goedert will play against Dallas on Sunday, he is optimistic about his recovery. "The soft-tissue injuries, you just have to make sure you give it enough time," he said. The Eagles scored 28 points or more in each of the three games Goedert missed.
During Wednesday's walkthrough, it was noted that if a full practice had occurred, Goedert would have been a full participant. However, wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring), linebacker Nolan Smith (groin), and linebacker Ben VanSumeren (concussion) would not have participated.
Other players with limited participation included running back Saquon Barkley (rest), guard/tackle Mekhi Becton (ankle), wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee), defensive end Bryce Huff (wrist), quarterback Jalen Hurts (rest), tackle Fred Johnson (knee), center Cam Jurgens (wrist), cornerback Darius Slay (groin), wide receiver Ainias Smith (ankle), outside linebacker Josh Sweat (hip), and linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. (hip).
On the Cowboys' side, Micah Parsons returned to practice in a limited capacity after missing five games with an ankle injury. The team hopes Parsons will be ready to play against the Eagles. Quarterback Dak Prescott may go on Injured Reserve following a hamstring injury sustained against Atlanta.
Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was limited due to a shoulder injury from the Falcons game. All-Pro cornerback DaRon Bland was activated off Injured Reserve but is still not practicing because of a foot injury that has kept him out all season. Trevon Diggs was limited by a calf injury but played last week despite missing practices.
All-Pro guard Zack Martin did not participate in practice due to shoulder issues but has played every game this season despite various injuries. Starting middle linebacker Eric Kendricks also missed practice with an ongoing shoulder problem.
Defensive back Juanyeh Thomas and outside linebacker Nick Vigil did not practice due to concussion and foot injuries respectively.
