Two top prospects have been recognized for their defensive skills as part of the 2024 Minor League Gold Glove Award winners, announced by Rawlings and Minor League Baseball. Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews, ranked as baseball's top overall prospect, and Brewers shortstop Cooper Pratt, ranked No. 57 by MLB, were among the nine players honored.

Mike Thompson, chief marketing officer for Rawlings, expressed satisfaction with this year's awardees: “Rawlings is pleased to recognize this year’s group of Gold Glove Award winners and we look forward to following their careers as they climb the ladder to Major League Baseball.” He also acknowledged the partnership with Minor League Baseball that allows them to annually honor these athletes.

Dylan Crews made a significant impact in his debut season. After being selected second overall in the 2023 Draft, he played in Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Rochester before joining Washington's major league team in August. Known for his speed and arm strength, Crews achieved a .996 fielding percentage prior to his promotion.

Cooper Pratt was a sixth-round pick in 2023 from Mississippi. The 20-year-old shortstop showed impressive fielding skills with only eight errors over more than 730 innings between Single-A Carolina and High-A Wisconsin. This marks Milwaukee's second consecutive year having a top prospect on the list after Jeferson Quero received honors at catcher in 2023.

Other notable recipients include Joe Mack from Double-A Pensacola (MIA No. 9), Brock Rodden from Double-A Arkansas (SEA No. 22), Kyle Karros from High-A Spokane (COL No. 18), Dasan Brown from Double-A New Hampshire (TOR No. 23), Enrique Bradfield Jr. from High-A Aberdeen (BAL No. 4), and Frank Mozzicato from High-A Quad Cities (KC No. 11).
