Two years ago, the Philadelphia Eagles made a significant move by acquiring wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Tennessee Titans during the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Since joining the team, Brown has made a substantial impact.

On Thursday night, coinciding with the start of the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit, the Eagles announced that they have reached an agreement with Brown on a three-year contract extension, securing his position through the 2029 season.

Reflecting on his career and ambitions, Brown stated late in the 2023 season: "I'm always just striving to be better. There is always something I can improve on and there's always more. I'm trying to never get satisfied with where I'm at. I don't want to get comfortable. If I get comfortable, it's too late."

Brown's performance since joining the Eagles has been noteworthy. In 2022, he set a new franchise record for receiving yards with 1,496 and earned second-team All-Pro honors. His achievements continued into 2023 when he broke another franchise record for most receptions by a wide receiver with 106 and again received second-team All-Pro accolades. He also became the first Eagles wide receiver to achieve over 1,200 yards in consecutive seasons.

Acknowledging his parents' influence on his work ethic and pursuit of excellence, Brown said: "It's kind of just being obsessed with it. That's kind of where I'm at."

Throughout his time with the Eagles, Brown has built relationships with legendary receivers Harold Carmichael and Mike Quick. "Those are great guys and they give great advice," Brown noted.

As he continues to make history within the organization, it seems only a matter of time before he joins their ranks among all-time greats.
