The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for the upcoming season with a focus on strengthening their edge rusher position. Under the guidance of defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, the team aims to create dynamic matchups and disrupt opposing quarterbacks. The Eagles have assembled a group of versatile edge players who bring various skills to the table.

Among the notable additions is Bryce Huff, acquired in free agency after an impressive stint with the New York Jets. Last season, Huff recorded 10 quarterback sacks and 68 hurries over 420 defensive snaps. The Eagles believe he will be a key player in Fangio's defense, capable of setting the edge against runs and dropping into coverage when needed.

Veteran Brandon Graham returns for his 15th season with the Eagles, bringing experience and energy to the squad. Known for his relentless playstyle, Graham also serves as a mentor to younger teammates while still contributing significantly on the field.

Josh Sweat is another returning player expected to make an impact this season. With 76 quarterback pressures last year, Sweat looks to build on his success and increase his sack total from double digits in 2022.

Nolan Smith enters his second NFL season after showing potential during his rookie year. Smith's speed and power make him a promising asset for the team's future plans.

Tarron Jackson and Patrick Johnson round out the returning players looking to impress under Fangio's new leadership. Both have shown promise in previous seasons and aim to solidify their roles within the team.

In addition to Huff, new faces like Terrell Lewis and Julian Okwara join the Eagles' roster. Lewis has three seasons of NFL experience with six sacks during his time with the Rams, while Okwara contributed five sacks during his tenure with Detroit.

Executive Vice President/General Manager Howie Roseman expressed confidence in Huff's abilities: "One of the things you look for is his skill set...he understands leverage, he's got explosiveness in his body."

As training camp approaches, all eyes will be on how these edge rushers perform and contribute to shaping a formidable defense for Philadelphia this season.
