Mekhi Becton, a former New York Jets player, has embraced his new role with the Philadelphia Eagles. Since joining the team, Becton has been enthusiastic about contributing in any position required by the Eagles. "Doesn't matter to me. I am loving being here in every way. I feel like I'm in a family. I really mean that," Becton expressed.

Selected as the 11th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft from Louisville, Becton's tenure with the Jets was marked by injuries. However, he feels confident about his decision to join the Eagles during free agency and is eager to help them succeed.

Throughout spring training, Becton filled in at left guard while Landon Dickerson was absent from mandatory minicamp for personal reasons. His ability to play both tackle positions enhances the depth of the offensive line. "Doesn't matter to me where I play," he said regarding his flexibility on the field.

Becton's efforts have caught the attention of teammates such as left tackle Jordan Mailata, who praised him for adapting well despite not having played guard before in the NFL. Mailata remarked on Becton's versatility: "He's doing a good job... We know he can play tackle, but what else does he bring to the table?"

Becton aims for a long-term future with Philadelphia but focuses on daily improvements and supporting his teammates wherever needed. "This is a family and you do what you can in a family to help," Becton stated.
