In 2016, the Eagles introduced their Women's Football Festival, which has since become a popular event among fans. Jackie Yanchocik, a regular attendee, expressed her appreciation for the festival: "To have an event that makes women front and center of the day is super special," she said. "It's awesome that the organization values us as important fans."
Jackie and her mother, Sue Yanchocik, first attended the festival in 2018 after Jackie gifted tickets to her mom for Mother's Day. The festival has grown over the years with increased attendance and more activities for fans. The 2024 event is anticipated to be the largest yet.
Sue Yanchocik shared her thoughts on the festival's atmosphere: "Everybody has a good time," she said. "They're enjoying it; they want to be there to support the team. It's great to see women come together like that in a sports environment."
The festival offers participants experiences such as field drills, locker room film sessions, and photoshoots with players. Jackie and Sue particularly enjoy the X's and O's session where players analyze plays. Sue noted, "I realized through going to these sessions that there is much more to just running a play."
Anna Befumo from Toms River attended last year's festival for the first time after hearing positive reviews from other fans. She described her experience: "It was awesome that we were able to experience the festival together," Anna said.
Attendees of this year's event will receive autographs from at least one Eagles player and can participate in stage games with them. Anna remarked on how much attention is given to female fans: "The organization obviously cares a lot about its female fans and women's sports."
This year’s highlights include a welcome address by quarterback Jalen Hurts and an X's and O's session with current players.
Tickets are still available for purchase for those interested in attending on Sunday, May 19.
