A.J. Brown's move to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022 has proven successful, as anticipated by both the player and the team. The Eagles acquired Brown from Tennessee, where he had been a promising wide receiver but was no longer part of the Titans' future plans. In Philadelphia, Brown joined forces with DeVonta Smith and quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is also a close friend.
During an event at the NovaCare Complex on Tuesday afternoon, Brown discussed his career progression since joining the Eagles. "Support system. I think it's family," Brown stated. "When you care about somebody that you love and you're playing beside people that you love, you go to bat for them."
Hurts was present in the audience and acknowledged Brown's comments with a nod of understanding.
Reflecting on his time with the Eagles, Brown expressed satisfaction with how things have unfolded since his trade from Tennessee. "I'm enjoying the journey of everything," he said. "The sky is the limit."
In two seasons with Philadelphia, Brown has achieved significant success, recording 194 receptions, 2,952 yards, and 18 touchdowns. His partnership with Smith has been particularly effective against opposing defenses.
Both players are still young; Brown will turn 27 in June as he enters his sixth NFL season, while Smith is entering his fourth season and will be 26 in November.
Brown emphasized their work ethic: "I don't want to get into saying, 'We can do this. We can do that,' you know because ultimately you have to go to work," he remarked.
