Philadelphia Union Academy graduate forward Eddy Davis III has been recognized as the MLS NEXT Pro Rising Star of the Month for the third time in 2024. The announcement was made by the league on Thursday afternoon, highlighting Davis's impressive performance this season.

The 18-year-old forward set a new single-season scoring record in September, achieving his 12th goal against Inter Miami CF II on September 15th. This goal allowed him to surpass Faris Moumbagna, a former Bethlehem Steel FC player and current Marseille forward, for the most goals scored for the second team in a single season.

Davis further extended his record with a game-tying goal in the second half against New York City FC II, helping Union II overcome a two-goal deficit. This achievement contributed to Union II securing their third consecutive appearance in the MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs and their first-ever home playoff match.

Additionally, Davis assisted Cavan Sullivan's game-tying goal against Atlanta United 2, which helped Union II claim the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference with one match remaining.

Union II aims to secure the top seed in the East as they conclude their regular season by facing Chicago Fire II on the road. The match is scheduled to kick off at 1 PM and will be available for viewing on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
