Kai Wagner became the Philadelphia Union's all-time leader in assists during a 1-1 draw with Atlanta United FC at Subaru Park on Saturday evening. The Union's left back made history in the 61st minute by delivering a cross to Nathan Harriel, who scored to put the Union ahead. With this assist, Wagner notched his 51st career assist, surpassing Sebastien Le Toux for the club record.
Atlanta United FC equalized in the 72nd minute when Brooks Lennon connected with Saba Lobjanidze for a headed finish.

Head Coach Jim Curtin sent out the same starting group that dominated D.C. United 4-0 less than a week ago. The lineup included Andre Blake in net, with Kai Wagner, Jack Elliott, Jakob Glesnes, and Nathan Harriel forming the back line. Quinn Sullivan, Jack McGlynn, and Leon Flach were in midfield along with Daniel Gazdag at the 10 spot. Tai Baribo and Mikael Uhre were paired up top.
Philadelphia had an early goal called off for offsides and went into halftime scoreless despite outshooting Atlanta United 7-1 and maintaining possession for 53% of play. Another goal was disallowed in the 54th minute due to offsides.
Wagner's historic assist came just past the hour mark when he set up Harriel's goal. Head Coach Jim Curtin made substitutions shortly after to maintain their lead but Atlanta quickly equalized through Lennon's connection with Lobjanidze.
Curtin made another substitution in the 77th minute by bringing on Samuel Adeniran for Leon Flach. Adeniran nearly scored late in the contest but was denied by Brad Guzan.
In stoppage time, Philadelphia had chances to secure a win but failed to convert as Baribo's header went over the bar and Gazdag's shot went wide.
