Philadelphia Union has announced a collaboration with local artist Distortedd to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The artist, whose real name is Anhia Zaira Santana, has designed a special shirt that will be available at the Union Shop on Saturday during Fiesta Hispana.

Santana's design reimagines the Union's logo by incorporating elements from her Hispanic culture and the blueprint design of soccer. She explained her vision in an interview with PhiladelphiaUnion.com: "I realize that sport is more than just a game. Soccer is a staple in my Hispanic heritage and it has taken a culture of its own and is celebrated by fans not only in the Hispanic community but part all over the world."

Santana aimed to blend cultural aspects with the technical elements of soccer in her design. "With this project, I wanted to combine all aspects from that culture to the blueprint design of the game," she said. "In Philly, we fully expression that passion and rage. Teams dominate like a machine against our opponents."

She hopes fans will share her enthusiasm for the new logo: "I want fans to feel excited when they see the logo because that was my ultimate end goal. I love the energy and the pure passion that fans have about the sport and that's what I was trying to bring to the design."

The shirt will be unveiled as part of Fiesta Hispana celebrations, highlighting both Santana's artistic talents and her cultural heritage.
