The Eagles and Buccaneers have released their injury reports ahead of their upcoming game. For the Eagles, wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring), tackle Lane Johnson (concussion), and wide receiver DeVonta Smith (concussion) would have missed practice if a full session had been held. Brown has already missed the last two games due to his hamstring injury, while Johnson and Smith sustained concussions in Sunday's victory over New Orleans.
Wide receiver Jahan Dotson expressed confidence in stepping up if needed: "I don't know when my moment can be or will be, but making sure when I'm in that moment, I'm ready for it," he said.
Running back Saquon Barkley, who leads the NFL in rushing yards, acknowledged that Tampa Bay's defense might focus more on him if Brown and Smith are unavailable. He stated, "Trust the game plan and trust your teammates and go out there and try to execute at a high level."
Cornerback Darius Slay would have fully participated despite a knee injury that caused him to miss the end of Sunday's game. Both starting guards Mekhi Becton (finger) and Landon Dickerson (wrist) would have been limited participants.
The Buccaneers listed 16 players on their injury report for Wednesday, with four missing practice: wide receiver Kameron Johnson (ankle), defensive tackle Calijah Kancey (calf), safety Antoine Winfield (foot), and an unnamed fourth player. Kancey and Winfield are key defensive players for Tampa Bay. Despite having only two sacks this season, the Buccaneers have not allowed a passing touchdown even without All-Pro safety Winfield.
Tampa Bay hopes to bolster its lines with right tackle Luke Goedeke (limited, concussion) and defensive tackle Vita Vea (limited, knee). The absence of Vea has contributed to the team's 25th ranking in run defense. Quarterback Baker Mayfield was sacked seven times during Sunday's loss to Denver.
