The Eagles are set to play their first away game of the season at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, a venue where they have not secured a victory since 2007. The upcoming match against the New Orleans Saints, who currently hold a 2-0 record, comes after a tough loss for the Eagles to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night.

Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore emphasized the need for explosive plays against a strong New Orleans defense. "I think we still have guys who can separate and give us some vertical components to our offense," he said. "We're trying to find it. Defenses are doing an excellent job, and we've just got to keep finding them."

New Orleans' aggressive front seven, led by Cameron Jordan, poses a significant challenge for the Eagles' offense. Additionally, turnovers will be crucial; New Orleans boasts a +3 turnover ratio compared to Philadelphia's -3.

On offense, the Saints have been impressive, scoring on their first 15 offensive possessions this season. Key players include wide receiver Rashid Shaheed and running back Alvin Kamara. Quarterback Derek Carr has also started strong under an offensive scheme that suits his skill set well. Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio noted, "I think this offense really suits him... They're max protecting a lot, giving him time."

The health status of Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson remains uncertain due to a foot injury sustained late in the week.

Alvin Kamara is particularly noteworthy with five touchdowns so far this season and poses threats both as a runner and pass catcher. The Eagles will need exceptional tackling and strategic planning to contain him.

Despite New Orleans' strong start, potential weaknesses remain that the Eagles could exploit. Effective collaboration between quarterback Jalen Hurts and Moore will be essential in attacking these vulnerabilities.

Philadelphia’s defensive line aims for increased production against New Orleans’ dominant offensive group. Matchups such as right tackle Lane Johnson versus Cameron Jordan will be pivotal.

Intangibles like penalties, mental mistakes, missed tackles, dropped passes, and time-management usage will also play critical roles in determining the outcome of Sunday's game.
