Eagles running back Saquon Barkley was named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Week after an impressive debut against the Packers in Brazil. This is Barkley's fourth career NFC Offensive Player of the Week honor and his first since the season opener in 2022, when he had 164 yards, a touchdown, and the game-winning 2-point conversion for the Giants against the Tennessee Titans.

Barkley carried the ball 24 times in the 34-29 victory, tallying 109 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. The first of his three total touchdowns came in the air for the Eagles' opening score of the game. Barkley had two receptions for 23 yards and a touchdown.

"It's a great start; at the end of the day, the most important thing is to get to win football games, and that's hard to do in this league, especially against a great team like that," Barkley said after the win.

Barkley sparked the offense after a slow first-quarter start with an 11-yard run before bringing in an 18-yard touchdown grab on a throw from quarterback Jalen Hurts. With 5:38 remaining in the first half, Barkley cut through the defense for an 11-yard touchdown run to give the Eagles a 14-12 lead.

"He played really well tonight. He should have had four touchdowns and I told him that (jokingly), but he helps us out. When you get the ground game going, it helps with passing game, so we're excited that he's on our team and he started his season out great," wide receiver A.J. Brown said about Barkley.

With 4:26 remaining in the third quarter, Barkley notched his third touchdown on a two-yard run up to give Eagles their last touchdown of making it scoreline at31-26 .

Barkley's big day didn't end there though; with just seconds left in third quarter,Bursting through line completing another significant gain putting Eagles position near Packers’ territory heading into final period.

"A hat trick is never bad thing but there's much more I can do,and that's kind player I am always gonna be.Go back watch film obviously look good but also lot bad too" said barkely reflecting upon performance.
