Philadelphia Union concluded August with a rivalry match against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday night. The game, held in New Jersey, kicked off at 7:30 PM ET and was broadcast on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV as well as on 97.5 The Fanatic radio, app, and website.

The starting lineup for Philadelphia Union included Andre Blake; Kai Wagner, Jack Elliott, Jakob Glesnes, Olivier Mbaizo; Danley Jean-Jacques, Jack McGlynn, Alejandro Bedoya, Daniel Gazdag; Mikael Uhre, and Tai Baribo. The bench featured Oliver Semmle; Nathan Harriel, Olwethu Makhanya, Jesus Bueno, Leon Flach, Jeremy Rafanello, Quinn Sullivan, Chris Donovan, and Samuel Adeniran.

Philadelphia Union made four changes to their lineup from their midweek contest against the Columbus Crew. Goalkeeper Andre Blake marked his 240th career start in MLS regular season play. Team Captain Alejandro Bedoya earned his 215th start for the Union in league play. Midfielder Jack McGlynn reached his 50th career start for the Boys in Blue and became the fourth homegrown player in club history to achieve this milestone.
