Toronto FC II defeats Philadelphia Union II with a final score of four to two

Philadelphia Union II traveled to York Lions Stadium to face Toronto FC II on Sunday afternoon, resulting in a 4-2 defeat. Jesús Batiz opened the scoring for Toronto in the 13th minute, followed by a goal from Ythallo in the 22nd minute. Academy midfielder Kellan LeBlanc scored his first MLS NEXT Pro goal for Union II in the 49th minute and added a second goal in the 57th minute, leveling the score.

Toronto regained the lead in the 60th minute with a penalty kick converted by Julian Altobelli. Hassan Ayari doubled Toronto’s lead with a goal in the 76th minute. Despite recording 20 shots, Philadelphia Union II was unable to find the back of the net again.

Philadelphia Union II will host Columbus Crew 2 at Subaru Park on Monday, August 26 (6:00 p.m. ET/Apple TV).
