The Penn Federalist Society and CTIC Present: Private Censorship - Social Media and the Universities
Please join Penn Law Federalist Society and the Center for Technology, Innovation, and Competition on Thursday, April 14 in G2 at noon for a discussion between Professors Adam Candeub (Michigan State) and Christopher Yoo (Penn) on the growing threat to the free flow of ideas that comes from private censorship. This contentious subject is increasingly debated on both the political left and right, but its implications for the law are more nuanced. Professor Candeub will present his theory on why the law should step in when private censorship goes beyond certain bounds. Professor Yoo will provide commentary. Professor Candeub has significant experience working on Section 230 policy in the Trump Administration, while Professor Yoo is a renowned expert in technology law and founder of CTIC. Shake Shack will be served at the event.
