The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Kicks Off #iGiveCatholic Ahead of #GivingTuesday

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia recently announced it had partnered with the Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia to participate in #iGiveCatholic for the first time.

#iGiveCatholic is nationally recognized as the official Catholic Giving Day. It is celebrated annually on #GivingTuesday (December 1st), which follows Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.  There an Advanced Giving Day phase taking place now through Monday, November 30th.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s participation in #iGiveCatholic presents an opportunity for Catholics to affirm their faith as disciples of Jesus Christ by sharing their gifts out of love for God and one another. It also gives parishes, schools, and nonprofit organizations the chance to rally support for their individual ministries and make a difference in their community, with the goal of raising as many funds as possible for these important missions.

Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez encourages Catholics throughout the five-county Archdiocese to #GiveCatholic on #GivingTuesday. He recently release a video message on social media.

In the video, Archbishop Pérez said, “God calls each of us to receive His abundant gifts in our lives and generously share them with others. Please join me in saying #iGiveCatholic. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Your support demonstrates tremendous heart and a deep compassion for your brothers and sisters in Christ.
