Cost of college went up for all students at The University of the Arts

Tuition and fees rose 4.2 percent for 2018-19 at The University of the Arts, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $44,930 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,830 more than the $43,100 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 410 students received grants or scholarships totaling $10.1 million and 379 students took out student loans totaling more than $4 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,914), 1,643 students used grants or scholarships totaling $37.8 million, and 1,406 students took out $9.9 million in federal student loans.
