Cost of college went up for all students at the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute

Tuition and fees rose 7.9 percent for 2018-19 at the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $19,080 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $1,400 more than the $17,680 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 76 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 100 students received grants or scholarships totaling $491,070 and 134 students took out student loans totaling more than $881,704.

Including all undergraduates (275), 185 students used grants or scholarships totaling $800,746, and 242 students took out $1.6 million in federal student loans.
