63 percent of applicants to the University of the Sciences were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of the Sciences, 97 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 64 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Philadelphia enrolled 2,231 students in fall 2018, including 1,231 in undergraduate and 1,000 in graduate programs, data shows. 3.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

50 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 49 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (45 percent) and Asian (34 percent).

The school admitted 63 percent of the 4,212 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 12 percent enrolled.
