58 percent of applicants to Thomas Jefferson University were admitted for fall 2018

At Thomas Jefferson University, 51 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 72 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Philadelphia enrolled 7,786 students in fall 2018, including 3,550 in undergraduate and 4,236 in graduate programs, data shows. 19.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

57 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 42 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (55 percent) and Black or African American (15 percent).

The school admitted 58 percent of the 4,522 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 23 percent enrolled.
