Verlander later said he ignored his instincts and followed with an 0-1 curveball. After five weeks of training camp and three preseason games, the Eagles reduced their roster to the 53-player limit on Tuesday. This initial 53-man roster is subject to change as the team will monitor the waiver wire for other teams' cuts and begin forming the practice squad at noon on Wednesday.
