The Philadelphia Union team engaged in a two-part recovery session at the Marbella Football Center following their recent friendly match. The players participated in soccer tennis, a game with historical roots dating back to 1922 when it was created by Slavia Prague as a way to enhance ball skills.

In this session, teams of three competed against each other. A group comprising David Vazquez, Neil Pierre, and Eddy Davis III emerged victorious after defeating the Sullivan brothers and Franke Westfield, who are also products of the Philadelphia Union Academy.

The day's activities continued with a run led by the performance staff, followed by head-to-head competitions on a racetrack later in the afternoon.

Carnell, who had previously mentioned in an early January Q&A that he operates on "caffeine and octane," demonstrated this enthusiasm firsthand during a visit to Kart&Fun in Estepona where he took the wheel himself.
